Program Description
Students enrolled in a clinical laboratory science program at affiliated education institutions complete a six-month clinical laboratory rotation in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic during the final year of their education.
Accreditation
Mayo Clinic is also accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Higher Learning Commission.

Facilities
A highly skilled team of pathologists, clinical laboratory scientists and clinical laboratory technicians perform lab work. We receive patient specimens for testing from clinics and hospitals.
The large repertoire of test services, the large volume of specimens we receive for testing, and our diverse and highly educated faculty make us an ideal educational setting for students in clinical laboratory science training programs.
Hours
For the majority of the internship, your learning schedule will include eight-hour days, five days per week.

Each year, the number of students admitted to the Clinical Laboratory Scientist Internship at Mayo Clinic in Florida varies depending upon department personnel availability.
