Clinical Rotations
During clinical rotations in echocardiography you will gain experience in Mayo Clinic's echocardiography laboratories, focusing on cardiovascular hemodynamics. During all of your clinical rotations, you will work under the supervision of highly qualified cardiologists, cardiac sonographers and registered nurses.
As a student in the Echocardiography Program, you will have an opportunity to observe or train in the specialty areas of congenital echocardiography, stress, strain and 3D echocardiography. You will also participate in the Mayo Clinic Outreach Program to experience the unique patient referral base of various outreach sites.

Grading or Evaluation
Academic and clinical course work will be graded on a four-point
scale. Mayo School of Health Sciences uses evaluative tools that
include:

Our system of evaluation provides students and faculty with a comprehensive look at individual performance, allowing students who are experiencing academic difficulty to be directed to appropriate support resources, including tutoring programs and counseling opportunities.
