Program Costs
There is no tuition for the Mayo School of Health Sciences Dietetic Internship in Rochester. A $40 nonrefundable application fee is
required to apply to the program.
In addition, there is a $140 charge for the internship syllabus
and other materials. Other expenses include lab jackets, books,
field trips and meetings. The graduation pin
cost is $40. These costs are subject to change.
Estimated Living Expenses
Housing, transportation, and meals are the student’s responsibility. The estimated cost of living in Rochester changes every year but the current estimated costs are as follows:

Transportation
Interns must have access to an automobile. Several community learning experiences require own transportation. Interns are responsible for the cost of transportation.
Ourside Work
Although outside employment is discouraged, students may be employed on a supplemental basis as long as:
- It does not interfere with the training program
- Their academic and clinical performance is satisfactory
Financial Aid
Mayo School of Health Sciences offers financial incentives for students to participate in its many health sciences training programs. For example, often tuition waivers or employment scholarships are offered to students who commit to work for Mayo Clinic after graduation. For other programs, scholarships may be available for those who demonstrate financial need.
