Application Process

Positions
Nine candidates are accepted each year for the Dietetics Internship Program at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville on a competitive basis. The six-month Dietetics Internship begins in January, April and June.

How to Apply

Step 1: Complete and submit the:

• Mayo School of Health Sciences' Dietetics Internship application.

The application requires the following supporting documentation:

• Official transcripts of all college and/or university credits
• A signed Declaration of Intent to Complete Degree and Academic Requirements (Verification Statement for graduates)
• Three letters of recommendation from professional or academic references
• One-page typed (10 point font or larger) biography, including professional
  interests and career goals
• A nonrefundable $25 application fee (make checks payable to Mayo Clinic)

• The selection committee carefully reviews each application. Individuals considered for an appointment complete a telephone interview.

Step 2: Appointments to the Dietetics Internship Program are made through the American Dietetic Association (ADA) computerized Internship Match. All candidates must register to participate in a match.

ADA contracts with D & D Digital Systems to facilitate two matches each year. D & D Digital Systems must receive your registration by the deadlines to compete in a match.

November Match

• Deadline: Registration materials are due in September. Please see the
  D & D Digital Systems Web site for exact date (link below).
• The November match is for internships beginning in January AND April.
• Three interns are accepted for each class.
• The January and April classes have their own assigned D & D Digital Systems numbers (i.e., there is a separate number for each class). If you are willing to accept either start date, apply for BOTH classes through the D & D Digital Systems match process.

April Match

• Deadline: Registration materials are due in February. Please see the
  D & D Digital Systems Web site for exact date (link below).
• The April match is for internships beginning in June.
• Three interns are accepted.

• Following the matching process, appointment letters are mailed from D & D Digital Systems.
• Candidates selected must contact the program director in writing within 24 hours of the notification day.
