Tuition and Financial Aid

Costs for the program are similar for students enrolled in the certificate option and the BSHP option.

Students enrolled in the certificate option will pay tuition and apply for financial aid through MSHS. Students enrolled in the BSHP option will pay tuition and apply for financial aid through UMR.

Students enrolled in the program may find it difficult to hold employment and are therefore encouraged to avoid this if possible.

Certificate option

For 2013 — 2014, program tuition is $389 per credit. There are 65 credits in the program. Additionally, $555 in course fees will be charged throughout the length of the program for the following expenses:

  • $20 for program handbook
  • $95 for state society conference tuition
  • $125 for classroom supplies/mock exam software licensing
  • $155 for lab supplies
  • $160 for professional society dues

The estimated tuition and fees for the full program is $25,840

Other Mandatory Program Expenses:

  • $700 for books (estimate)
  • $100 for uniforms (estimate)
  • $200 for ARDMS Physics & Instrumentation exam
  • Total: $1,000

  • $1,000 for other program expenses

Living expenses

Living expenses such as transportation, housing, and meals are not paid to the school. However, these expenses are considered for purposes of processing financial aid, where applicable.
