Tuition and fees
Students at University of Minnesota Rochester
Students enrolled in the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) Bachelor of Science in Health Professions degree option pay tuition and apply for financial aid through UMR. The UMR website has tuition and fee and financial aid information.
Certificate students and students at all other affiliated institutions
Certificate-option students and students enrolled in the St. Cloud State University (SCSU), St. Mary's University (SMU), University of Sioux Falls (USF), University of Mary (U of Mary) and Winona State University (WSU) bachelor's degree option pay tuition and apply for financial aid through Mayo School of Health Sciences.
The Mayo School of Health Sciences tuition rate for the 2013-2014 academic year is $389 a credit. The total cost of tuition and fees for the 62-credit Radiography Program is $24,118. Students are assessed a $175-a-semester technology fee; this fee is not assessed for the summer semester. Students are supplied a Mayo-issued and supported laptop computer for their studies.
Students pay the standard Mayo School of Health Sciences tuition rate directly to Mayo School of Health Sciences in five installments, one a semester. Tuition rates are subject to change on an annual basis for the Radiography Program at the discretion of program and Mayo School of Health Sciences leadership. Other mandatory expenses
These expenses shall be incurred by all students enrolled in the Radiography Program with the amounts representing the total cost for the duration of the program:
- $1,600 — books
- $200 — uniforms
- $360 — supplies
- $700 — technology fee
- $70 — dues for American Society of Radiologic Technologists membership
- $20 — dues for Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists membership
Students are also responsible for the national certification examination fee of $200, which is incurred during the last semester of the program.
Once a year, students are required to travel at their own expense to an educational campus in Minnesota to participate in the Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists' Student Knowledge Bowl. Carpooling is encouraged.

For certificate-option students and students enrolled in the SCSU, SMU, U of Mary, USF or WSU bachelor's degree option, the total estimated cost of attendance is below. UMR students must contact UMR for their total estimated cost of attendance.

Living expenses such as transportation, housing and meals are not paid to the school. However, these expenses are considered for purposes of processing financial aid, where applicable.
Withdrawal and tuition refund
UMR students who find it necessary to withdraw from the program may be eligible for a tuition refund. Contact UMR for information about its tuition refund policy.
