Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition and fees
St. Cloud State University (SCSU) and University of Sioux Falls (USF) students. Students enrolled in the SCSU or USF bachelor's degree option will pay tuition and apply for financial aid through Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS). The current MSHS tuition rate for the 2012-2013 academic year is $378 per credit. The total cost of tuition and fees for the 62-credit Radiography Program is $26,386. Students will be assessed a $175/semester technology fee; this fee will not be assessed for the summer semester. Students will be supplied a Mayo issued and supported laptop computer for their studies.
Students pay the standard MSHS tuition rate directly to MSHS in five installments, one per semester. Tuition rates are subject to change on an annual basis for the Radiography Program at the discretion of program and MSHS leadership. The MSHS website has financial aid information.
- University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) students. Students enrolled in the UMR Bachelor of Science in health professions degree option will pay tuition and apply for financial aid through UMR. The UMR website has tuition and fee and financial aid information.
Other mandatory expenses
These expenses shall be incurred by all students enrolled in the Radiography Program, with the amounts representing the total cost for the duration of the program:
- $1,600 — books
- $200 — uniforms
- $360 — supplies
- $700— technology fee
- $60 — dues for American Society of Radiologic Technologists membership
- $30 — dues for Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists membership
Students are also responsible for the national certification examination fee of $200, which will be incurred during the last semester of the program.
Once a year, students will be required to travel at their own expense to an educational campus in Minnesota to participate in the Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists' Student Knowledge Bowl. Carpooling is encouraged.

For students enrolled in the SCSU or USF bachelor's degree option, the total estimated cost of attendance is below. UMR students must contact UMR for their total estimated cost of attendance.

Living expenses
Living expenses such as transportation, housing and meals are not paid to the school. However, these expenses are considered for purposes of processing financial aid, where applicable.
Tuition refund policy
UMR students who find it necessary to withdraw from the program may be eligible for a tuition refund. Contact UMR for information about its tuition refund policy.
SCSU and USF students who find it necessary to withdraw from the program may be eligible to receive a refund of tuition depending upon the date of withdrawal. The specific week in which you leave will be the controlling factor in determining the amount of the refund, as indicated by this table:
