Application Process

Positions

The Pharmacy Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Hospital/Inpatient at Mayo Clinic in Arizona accepts up to 10 students annually on a competitive basis. Priority is given to students whose schools have an affiliation agreement with Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Applicants must be pre-approved by the program director at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

Pre-approval process

Students must provide their college of pharmacy experiential program director with a request for an advanced pharmacy practice experience rotation at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Your experiential program will contact Mayo Clinic for approval of your request. If approved, you will be contacted and instructed to complete the online application process.

How to apply

Your application and all supporting documentation must be received a minimum of six months prior to the anticipated start of your rotation. You are encouraged to apply early.

  1. Online application. Complete the online application for admission. After you sign in to the ApplyYourself tool, please select Lite Application.
  2. Supporting documentation. Submit the following materials:

    • Transcripts
    • Curriculum vitae
    • Personal statement about why you would like to complete an advanced pharmacy practice experience at Mayo Clinic in Arizona (one page)

    Please send the required materials that are not completed online in one envelope to:
