Tuition and Financial Aid


Tuition for the fellowship is $2,371. Mayo Clinic employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement upon successful completion of the program.


Students are required to purchase the latest editions of these textbooks:

  • "Alexander's Care of the Patient in Surgery" by Margaret H. Meeker and Jane C. Rothrock, published by Mosby
  • "Pocket Guide to the Operating Room" by Maxine A. Goldman, published by F.A. Davis Company

Estimated cost of these textbooks is $145. These books may be purchased through Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and a 10 percent discount is available by calling 507-284-2279.


Perioperative fellowship students receive a stipend. Please inquire about the current amount.

Living expenses

You are responsible for your living accommodations and transportation.

Financial aid

Mayo School of Health Sciences offers financial incentives for students to participate in many of its health sciences training programs. For example, tuition waivers or employment scholarships may be offered to students who commit to work for Mayo Clinic for a set time after graduation. For other programs, scholarships, grants and low-interest loans may be available for those who demonstrate financial need.
