Application Process

One or two students from the diagnostic genetics program at Northern Michigan University begin their 24-week practicum each January and July. Up to four students from the molecular pathology program at Texas Tech University begin their eight-week preceptorship each March.

How to apply

  1. Online application. Complete the online Application for Admission.
  2. Supporting documentation. Submit these materials:

    • Transcripts
    • Two letters of recommendation
    • Immunization record
    • Goal statement or essay

    Send the required materials that are not completed online, as well as any transcripts not sent directly to Mayo School of Health Sciences, in one envelope to:

  3. Interviews. The selection committee carefully reviews each application. Individuals considered for an appointment complete a personal or telephone-video interview.
