Up to six candidates are accepted twice each year for the Hemodialysis Patient Care Technicians (HPCT) Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester on a competitive basis. The program start dates are usually the first week in February and the first week in August, however the program start date may vary. Please contact the program director for details.
Applications can be submitted beginning in mid-October for the February start date and in mid-April for the August start date.
The admissions committee will accept applications until the class is filled, so applicants are encouraged to apply in a timely manner. Recently, the program has filled in less than two weeks. Incomplete applications are not reviewed by the admissions committee. Please contact the program director for further details.
How to Apply
Step 1: Complete and submit the Mayo School of Health Sciences' online Application for Admission.
After you create an account and/or log-in, select the Application for Admission option, not the Lite Application option. Do not complete the Standardized Testing Section and do not use the Recommendation module contained within the online application system.
Step 2: Highly qualified applicants will be invited to interview. Two letters of reference and your last three job performance appraisals should be brought to the interview.
Step 3: All applicants will be notified of their admission status once the selections are final.
