Curriculum
The Mayo School of Health Sciences Health Information Management (HIM) Internship helps prepare individuals for professional practice in HIM. The HIM program combines general education and professional courses, including lecture, laboratory and clinical education components established by your college or university.
Clinical rotations
Students will gain clinical experience in Health Information Management Services and Patient Financial Services at Mayo Clinic. During your clinical rotations, you will work under the supervision of qualified and credentialed HIM professionals.
Grading or evaluation
Mayo School of Health Sciences uses an evaluation system that gives students and faculty a comprehensive look at individual performance. Students receive weekly evaluations from their clinical preceptor.
