Dietetics Internship (Arizona)

Program Description
Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) offers Dietetic rotations at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, providing comprehensive clinical knowledge and skills that enable practitioners to provide complete nutrition services.

Mayo School of Health Sciences partners with many Distance-Learning Dietetic Programs to offer these rotations in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Food Service rotations are also available for dietetic technician students. The length of the rotation depends upon the requirements of the academic affiliate. The clinical and/or food service rotations are arranged by the academic fieldwork coordinator from the student's college or university. The rotations at Mayo Clinic provide supervised practice to prepare the student with the skills and competencies necessary to practice as an entry-level generalist dietitian or diet technician.

Students from all accredited educational facilities are eligible for these rotations and will be considered individually.

Program Goals

  1. The program will prepare competent entry-level dietetics practitioners.
  2. The program will provide dietetic professionals to meet the needs of the Southwest and beyond.
  3. The program will encourage students to recognize the need to continue their education and participate in the American Dietetic Association and other professional organizations.

Mayo Foundation is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Higher Learning Commission.
