Recreational opportunities in Greater Phoenix and surrounding areas include a nationally recognized park system, championship golf courses, tennis courts, and miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails.
Several lakes just north of Scottsdale, Ariz., are popular places for weekend fishing and boating. Regional attractions include rafting in the Grand Canyon and snow skiing near Flagstaff, just two hours away.
