Campus Life

As a student of Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS), you’ll discover an active campus life and an exceptional quality of living whether you choose a program in Florida, Minnesota, or Arizona.

There are several events that take place outside the classroom throughout the year to enrich, teach, prepare, and entertain you.

Allied Health Professionals Week - Events are planned throughout the week to celebrate.

Alumni Association Conference - An annual event for all MSHS current students and alumni. Breakout sessions, keynote speaker, and a dinner highlight the conference.

Blood Drive - Volunteer opportunity to support Mayo Clinic’s Blood Bank.

Convocation- This annual gathering of students and faculty from all MSHS programs is an inspirational and motivating experience. The shared convocation brings together the entire school to celebrate the successes of the school, its students and faculty, reaffirm the school’s mission and look to the future and enjoy the camaraderie and reinforce school spirit.

Enrichment Series – A fall lecture series on an array of topics to enhance the student experience.

Apparel Order – A biannual event which gives students the opportunity to purchase MSHS t-shirts, sweatshirts, fleece jackets, and hats. They make excellent gifts!

Luncheon – A biannual event that brings students together for fun in an informal setting.

Professional Development Series – Topics chosen to assist students with professional skills such as resume writing, interviewing skills and handling stress.

Unity Ball – An annual event for students from MGS, MMS, and MSHS. Students of all years (and guests) are invited to partake in light hors d'ouvres, beverages, and dancing to live music. Affectionately referred to as “Prom.”

The quality of life and overall livability of each city rates highly on national rankings as well as with our students and faculty. Whether you’re single or married, with or without children, these are simply great communities in which to live, work and study.

MSHS students quickly become valued members of the health-care team and actively involved in the Mayo campus community. You’re certain to quickly make new friends and establish rewarding personal and professional relationships.
