Positions
Two students are selected each summer to participate in MSHS athletic training clinical internships. One session begins in June and the other in July.

In addition, students are accepted for athletic trainer voluntary sports team internships based on the number of opportunities available to work with the various amateur and professional athletic teams that are based in Rochester.

How to Apply
Your application and all supporting documentation must be received by Mayo School of Health Sciences by March 1 of the year you wish to begin classes.

Step 1: Complete the:

Step 2:  Submit the following required materials:

  • An official transcript of all college and/or university credits
  • Three letters of recommendation (one from your athletic training curriculum director)

Please send the required materials that are NOT completed online, plus any transcripts not sent directly to MSHS, in one envelope to:

Step 3: Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic in Rochester for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty.

Step 4: Appointment letters are mailed in late March. Your reply is requested within two weeks. Your appointment to the program is dependent upon successful completion of the health review and background check.
