Dean's Welcome

One of the great pleasures of my role as dean of Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) is working to ensure the education of the skilled, compassionate health sciences professionals who are vital to the delivery of quality medical care.

I work with a great team of associate deans, faculty and administrators at all three of Mayo's campuses to continuously improve and expand our programs. Our goals are clear:

• To ensure that the health-care needs of every patient are best served, and
• To help each student achieve her or his goal to become a well-trained allied health professional

The MSHS faculty is deeply committed to educating outstanding students to become skilled caregivers and leaders in their fields. This, we believe, is best achieved in a supportive positive environment, wherein students are respected for their contributions as valued members of the health-care team.
