Start Date
You may select the weeks that best fit your schedule. There are no block rotation dates. Clerkships begin on a Monday and conclude on a Friday in full-week increments (with the exception of holidays).
Length
Clerkships are four weeks in length (with the exception of Dental Specialties). Because the number of applications that we receive exceeds the number of available elective rotation slots, visiting medical students are limited to one four-week rotation among Mayo's three locations.
Location
You may apply to only one Mayo Clinic location at a time.
Changes
Once clerkships have been confirmed, changes in or rescheduling of clerkship assignments are not permitted.
Submission
Submit the online application by the appropriate application deadline as indicated. You will receive a response approximately six weeks following the submission deadline. Applications will not be processed prior to the deadline.
