The Division of Gastroenterologic and General Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., has one of the largest and most experienced groups of gastroenterologic and general surgeons in the United States. The 11 staff surgeons perform more than 4,500 operations annually and have a combined 180 years of experience.

The general surgeons at Mayo Clinic in Rochester have special expertise in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, surgical management of breast disease, endocrine surgery, morbid obesity surgery, abdominal wall hernias, and surgical oncology, including melanoma. They are internationally recognized for their performance of complex procedures with safety and satisfactory outcomes.

Three surgeons specialize in Endocrine Surgery, with an additional four surgeons who perform a substantial number of liver operations related to metastatic endocrine malignancies.
