How to apply
The Transitional Year Residency application process is only through the categorical residency programs in anesthesiology, dermatology, neurology and radiation oncology. The Transitional Year Residency supports the PGY-1 year requirement for these residencies at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.
There is no separate application process for the Transitional Year Residency. Please consult the categorical program websites for application instructions and deadlines.
Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic in Arizona for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty. At that time, you will meet with current residents and participate in selected conferences. Interviews are conducted between Nov. 1 and Jan. 15 of each year prior to the match date.
