Application Process

Positions

There is one position available each year on a competitive basis in the Multidisciplinary Breast Surgery Fellowship. Positions may last one or two years.

How to apply

You must apply through the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) Online Match System.

Applications must be submitted by July 15, 2015, for the academic year beginning in July 2016.

  1. To apply to the program, visit the SSO Online Match System website. Note the list of application materials required by the SSO.
  2. Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty. Interviews are arranged on an individual basis and are conducted from late September through October each year.
  3. If you are matched with the Multidisciplinary Breast Surgery Fellowship, you must send additional documents to Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education:

    • Diplomas. Provide a copy of your graduate school diploma, medical school diploma or both (if applicable).
    • Official transcripts. Send official transcripts from each university, graduate school or medical school you attended. Provide certified or notarized English translations of documents written in a language other than English.
    • Dean's letter. Ask your medical school dean to send a letter directly to:
