Program Description

Accreditation
The Adult Psychiatry Residency is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Certifications
When you successfully complete the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program, you will be able to take the certification examination offered by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

Program History
The Psychiatry Residency Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester was established in 1950. Approximately 300 residents have completed training in this program. It is anticipated that going forward, nine trainees will commence this residency annually.
