Director's Welcome

Christopher Colby, M.D., Program Director and William Carey, M.D., Associate Program Director

Thank you for considering pursuit of your training in neonatal and perinatal medicine at Mayo Clinic. We have a tremendous training program where your education is our top priority.

We have a comprehensive curriculum that is competitive with any program in the world. The clinical experience at Mayo immerses you in a robust and rapidly expanding clinical practice. Every potential clinical problem that a neonate may experience — including respiratory and renal failure, congenital heart disease, and anatomic anomalies — is managed expertly at Mayo.

The research component of your training allows you to interface with established investigators within and outside of the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine.

We are excited that you would consider Mayo Clinic for your neonatal and perinatal medicine fellowship. Our program prepares you for a lifetime of pursuing the science and medicine behind our subspecialty.

The underpinnings of our program are unique in that we are interested in who you are at the beginning of training and where you want to be at the completion of the fellowship. We utilize the necessary resources available at Mayo Clinic to help you achieve these goals. Your success is our goal.
