Research training
Research activity is an integral part of this fellowship. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Mayo Clinic has tremendous infrastructure for clinical and translational research that has been further enhanced by the recent development of a dedicated congenital echocardiography research laboratory with both grant funding and research sonographer support. Fellows in this program will be expected to participate in numerous research projects with the expectation of presentations at national meetings and relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Evaluation
To ensure that you acquire adequate knowledge and develop your technical skills, your performance will be monitored carefully during the course of your fellowship. You will be evaluated formally by your supervising faculty member after each rotation and will meet with the program director to review these evaluations. In addition, you will regularly evaluate the faculty and the fellowship.
