You will participate in all aspects of patient care and be expected to function independently in routine surgical cases, including preoperative and postoperative care of the patient.
You will participate in departmental conferences, seminars, journal club and multidisciplinary conferences throughout the academic year. You also will coordinate and present conferences, including Otolaryngology Grand Rounds.
You will be encouraged to participate in research projects and will be expected to present at regional and national meetings. You also will be encouraged to participate in manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
You will be encouraged to participate in committees within Mayo Clinic pertaining to education.
You will meet periodically with the program director to discuss your individual goals and receive ongoing support for future career development.
