Clinical training includes outpatient evaluation and hospital activities. Prior to the start of the appointment, the program director and fellow will review the year long curriculum to maximize the educational experience of the fellow.
Clinical conferences, seminars, small discussion groups, journal clubs and one-on-one instruction are integral parts of the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship. You will be encouraged to take full advantage of the following opportunities:
- Sports Medicine Conference – the fellow is responsible for organizing and presenting cases
- Shoulder and Elbow Conference
- Orthopedic Grand Rounds
- Sports Medicine Journal Club
- Arthroscopy Educational Seminar
During the one-year fellowship, you will have the opportunity to participate in research, develop protocols, conduct studies and submit articles to peer-reviewed journals. There is one half-day per week devoted to research and there is additional time available to work on clinical studies during faculty absences.
