Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida, offers state-of-the-art training with a skilled team of specialists experienced in treating gynecologic conditions. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient gynecology services. Surgical options for gynecologic conditions range from minimally invasive procedures to more complex open surgery.

Fellows are exposed to cases including but not limited to:

  • Complex surgical problems of the pelvis
  • Precancerous conditions of the reproductive tract
  • Surgical and nonsurgical management of bladder and bowel dysfunctions
  • Surgical treatment for cancer

The Department of Medical and Surgical Gynecology at Mayo Clinic's Florida campus is divided into three areas of special expertise:

  • Gynecologic oncology
  • Pelvic and reconstructive surgery
  • Medical gynecology

The gynecology team at Mayo Clinic's campus in Florida performs approximately 900 surgeries each year. The electronic medical record system and digital X-rays at Mayo Clinic streamline the work process, enabling physicians to spend more time with patients. Our physician experts use an integrated team approach to best treat challenging conditions.
