Applicants must have satisfactorily completed either an:
- Obstetrics and gynecology residency accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
- Obstetrics and gynecology residency located in Canada and accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
Non-U.S. medical graduates completing an ACGME- or RCPSC-accredited residency must be certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
Foreign-trained individuals (non-U.S. medical school and non-U.S. or -Canadian residency) are generally not eligible. Occasional exceptions may be considered for outstanding candidates from countries where specialty training in gynecologic oncology is not available, provided the candidate has a commitment from a sponsoring institution in his or her home country for employment to provide gynecologic oncology care after training.
