Department and Faculty

The Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic is a highly integrated, collaborative department of more than 100 adult and pediatric neurologists who specialize in the research, diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases affecting the nervous system.

The Vascular Neurology Fellowship faculty is composed of Mayo Clinic Department of Neurology members, who are committed to patient care, education and research in their daily practices. You have direct access to these individuals throughout your training.

The clinical, education and research programs at Mayo Clinic thrive on their multidisciplinary nature. As a cerebrovascular fellow, in addition to working with neurology staff members, you have the opportunity to work with Mayo Clinic neurosurgeons, interventional neuroradiologists, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, and other health care providers who are experts in the management of cerebrovascular disorders.

Each of the more than 100 faculty members in the Department of Neurology belongs to a group of neurologic subspecialists, who supply unique clinical and research services to patients and colleagues. These subspecialty groups, including those in the Division of Cerebrovascular Diseases, cross geographical boundaries with staff consultants at Mayo Clinic's campuses in Rochester, Minnesota; Jacksonville, Florida; and Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona.

Your program director and colleagues in the Division of Cerebrovascular Disease provide you with comprehensive educational advice and personal support throughout the fellowship. Your program director also serves as a contact point, introducing you and your family to Rochester, Minnesota, and the Mayo Clinic system.
