Application Process


Up to four positions are available in the Infectious Diseases Fellowship each year on a competitive basis.

How to apply

You must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

The application form and all supporting documentation must be submitted by Jan. 18 of the year preceding the appointment date. The academic year begins in July.

  1. To apply to the program, visit the ERAS website. All applications to Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials.
  2. Appointments are made through the Medical Specialties Matching Program, which is sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program Specialties Matching Service. All candidates must register through the Specialties Matching Service after submitting an application through ERAS.
  3. Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty. Interviews are conducted between September and November each year.
