Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship (Arizona)
The one-year Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship offers advanced training in:
- Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, focusing on endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Noncredentialing exposure to other advanced techniques, such as endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), luminal stenting and deep enteroscopy
This fellowship is intended for physicians who are planning a career in gastroenterology as an investigative and consultative therapeutic endoscopist.
This training program is a nonaccredited, one-year program. At this time, accreditation does not exist for this variety of advanced training.
The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Program at Mayo Clinic in Arizona will accept its first fellow in 2011. It is anticipated that one fellow annually will complete training in the program.
