Dermatology Residency (Arizona)
Program Description
Mayo Clinic in Arizona offers a categorical program, which combines a one-year Transitional Year Residency (PGY-1) with a three-year Dermatology Residency Program (PGY-2 through PGY-4). There is not a separate application for the preliminary year. Your Dermatology training will include:
- Outpatient and inpatient clinical dermatology
- Pediatric Dermatology
- Dermatologic surgery
- Dermatopathology
- Cosmetic Procedures
- Clinical or translational research
- Elective rotations

Accreditation
The training program fulfills the requirements for training as stated by the American Board of Dermatology and is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Graduate Medical Education.
Certification
After successful completion of the program, residents are eligible for certification through the American Board of Dermatology.
Program History
The Dermatology Residency in Arizona began in 2000. Two residents are anticipated to complete training in the program each year.
