Application Process
Positions
Mayo Clinic in Florida accepts one fellow each year in its Pain Medicine Fellowship on a competitive basis.
How to apply
MSGME does not process printed applications to this program. To apply, you need to use the third-party application service, Apply Yourself. For the academic year beginning 2014, the Pain Medicine Fellowship will participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Specialties Match. After submitting your application through Apply Yourself, register with NRMP. The Match opens June 2013, with match day being October 9, 2013.
In addition to the standard application materials required by MSGME, this program requires the following additional supporting materials to be submitted with your online application:
- A personal statement, including a discussion of how you became interested in pain medicine, and what unique qualities you possess that will make you an outstanding pain medicine physician.
- A copy of your most recent In-Training Examination scores and a letter from your residency program director.
Applications for each academic year should be completed by June 30.
All completed applications will be considered and a few fellow candidates will be asked to visit Mayo Clinic for a formal interview. Interviews are typically conducted in July.
