Program Description
The one-year Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., provides superb subspecialty radiology training, while you work closely with experts in the imaging and interventional aspects of musculoskeletal radiology. The program delivers a detailed learning experience that enables fellows to become highly proficient at musculoskeletal imaging.

This program teaches radiologists how to protocol, perform and interpret studies and procedures at a subspecialty level, preparing them to bring musculoskeletal imaging expertise to either an academic or specialty private practice.

The fellowship includes experience in musculoskeletal radiographs, CT, MRI and ultrasound. Intervention musculoskeletal experience includes peripheral joint procedures (e.g. injection, aspiration and arthrography) and spine intervention (e.g. epidural steroid injection, facet injection and discography).

Program History
The Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship in Rochester began in 1992, and, since that time, more than 20 physicians have completed training. It is anticipated that two to four fellows will complete training in this program annually.
