Program Description The one-year Cardiac Imaging Fellowship Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., will prepare you for a subspecialty practice or an academic career in cardiac radiology.
The cardiac imaging fellowship is a multi-modality fellowship, with emphasis on cardiac MRI and CT. Trainees will rotate through MRI/CT for at least 8 months and may also rotate through nuclear cardiology for up to 2 months where they will perform stress testing. Applicants may also rotate through echocardiography for up to 3 months, completing the requirements for level 1 training in echocardiography, including hands on scanning. Elective time is possible through areas such as Peripheral Vascular CT, Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound, Chest CT, Body MRI, and others.
History The Cardiac Imaging Fellowship began formally in 2002. Since that time six physicians have completed training. Two fellows will complete training in the program each year.
