Program Description
The one-year Preliminary Internal Medicine Residency provides a solid foundation for further training in non-internal medicine specialties such as dermatology, radiology, anesthesiology, neurology and physical medicine. Although schedules vary slightly, preliminary medicine residents are otherwise indistinguishable from categorical residents and enjoy the same benefits and responsibilities.
Curriculum
Clinical Experience
The one-year program offers the same level of autonomy for patient care and the same clinical teaching given to categorical residents.

Applications for each academic year, which begins in July, should be completed by late November.
