The Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine includes more than 100 pediatric and adolescent physicians specializing in more than 40 areas and providing care ranging from routine check-ups to complex surgical procedures. There are three pediatric endocrinologists in the department. Annually Mayo Clinic treats more than 50,000 children and adolescents, including some 5,000 hospital patients. Mayo Clinic pediatric and adolescent surgeons perform more than 8,000 procedures each year.

All faculty members for the Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship have academic appointments in Mayo Clinic College of Medicine . Faculty members teach and supervise medical students and pediatric residents at Mayo Clinic and work closely with the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, Diabetes, and Nutrition .
