Program Description
Mayo Clinic in Arizona offers a one-year, ACGME Accredited, Adult Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship. This program provides extensive exposure to, and experience in, the evaluation and management of complex hip and knee problems in adolescents and adults. Additionally, an opportunity is available for a rotation in advanced shoulder reconstruction.

The fellowship consists of four 3 month rotations, which Fellows working on a one-on-one basis with faculty. Depending on the Fellow's interest, opportunity is available for a rotation involving advanced shoulder reconstruction. The Fellow will perform preoperative consultations, participate actively in surgical procedures, and will be directly involved in post-operative patient management. Additionally, the Fellow is active in educational conferences and the development of research projects leading to presentation and publication.

Program History
The Adult Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Arizona began in 2004. One fellow is accepted each year. The program received ACGME accreditation in 2009.
