Before your program start date, you must complete a Mayo Clinic-administered health review.
- Providing your immunization record and communicable disease history
- Undergoing a tuberculin skin test
- Passing a urine drug screen
To arrange your tuberculin skin test and urine drug screening, call the Division of Preventive, Occupational and Aerospace Medicine at 507-284-4340 after April 15 of your appointment year. Identify yourself as a new Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education resident or fellow.
You are strongly encouraged to complete these requirements before orientation. If you won't be in Rochester, Minn., before orientation, ensure that your appointment does not overlap with your assigned orientation session. Patient contact will be prohibited until your nurse review and drug screen have been completed.
