Program Description
Mayo Clinic's neurophysiology programs prepare you for an academic
career by providing you with experience in teaching, research and
clinical studies. The one-year Clinical Neurophysiology, Electromyography
(EMG) Fellowship Program at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Ariz.
, will prepare you to establish and supervise an electromyography
laboratory in an academic institution or integrated group practice.
In addition to standard nerve conduction and electromyographic
techniques, you will learn about:
- Single-fiber electromyography
- Evoked potentials
- Surgical monitoring
Experience in the clinical evaluation of patients with neuromuscular
disorders is also provided during the fellowship.
Program History
The Clinical Neurophysiology, Electromyography Fellowship
at Mayo Clinic in Arizona was established in 1995. Since that time,
approximately 10 fellows have completed training in this program.
It is anticipated that going forward, one trainee will complete
this fellowship annually.
