The Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic is a highly integrated,
collaborative department of adult and pediatric neurologists who
specialize in the research, diagnosis and treatment of more than
500 conditions and diseases affecting the nervous system.
The Neurology Residency Program faculty is comprised of Mayo Clinic
specialists, who are committed to patient care, education and research
in their daily practices. You will have direct access to these individuals
throughout your training.
Each of the more than 70 neurology department faculty members belongs
to a group of neurologic subspecialists, who supply unique clinical
and research services to patients and colleagues.
Mayo Clinic's neurological clinical material is rich and varied,
offering you the opportunity to see both common and unusual neurological
and neurosurgical problems.

Advisors and Mentors
Our graduate education advisory system is designed to provide you
with comprehensive educational advice and personal support. You
will choose a faculty adviser who will serve as your primary contact
and provide you with comprehensive educational advice and personal
support throughout your training program. Your advisor will also
serve as a contact point, introducing you and your family to Rochester
and the Mayo Clinic system.
Visiting Professors
Many prominent professors visit Mayo Clinic each year. They present
their work at noon and/or morning lectures and participate in hospital
rounds. You are encouraged to take full advantage of these opportunities.
