Program Description
Mayo Clinic offers a one-year Pulmonary Pathology Fellowship Program during which you will work with a broad spectrum of biopsy materials and surgical specimens relating to pulmonary, pleural and thoracic diseases.

Your fellowship experience will include the interpretation of biopsies related to interstitial, infectious, lymphoproliferative, immunologic, pleural and neoplastic lung disease. When necessary, a variety of immunohistochemical and in-situ hybridization techniques will be applied as diagnostic tools.

You also will participate in clinicopathologic correlation projects and a variety of clinical and pathological conferences.

Program History
The Pulmonary Pathology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester was established in 1996 and since that time, four fellows have completed their training in this program. It is anticipated that one fellow will complete their training in this program each year.
