Emergency Medicine specialists work at Mayo Clinic Hospital in northeast Phoenix to treat life-threatening illnesses. Teams of board-certified physicians, registered nurses, and other specially trained staff are available at all times to treat anyone seeking emergency medical care.

Mayo Clinic Hospital offers the highest level of emergency care possible. The Emergency Department provides care for more than 70,000 patients each year. On average, 20 percent of Emergency Department patients are children. A high number of Emergency Department patients have acute or critical emergency needs.

Maricopa Medical Center is a Level I trauma center and Arizona’s only Burn Center.
