The Department of Dermatology facilities at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale
includes a large practice area with a surgical suite, including
laser rooms, a resident workroom, a dermatology library, an extensive
photographic collection, and a dermatopathology laboratory with
a multi-headed teaching microscope.
Faculty
In addition to caring for patients in their clinical practices,
the Department of Dermatology faculty at Mayo Clinic in Arizona
are committed to teaching and facilitating the growth of medical
knowledge. Many of our faculty have published and lectured extensively
and are well-regarded in their field. You will have direct access
to these individuals throughout your training program.
Advisors
You will be assigned a faculty advisor who can provide comprehensive
educational advice and personal support. Your advisor also will
serve as a contact point, introducing you and your family to Scottsdale
and the Mayo Clinic system.
Visiting Professors
Many prominent professors visit Mayo Clinic each year, presenting
their work during morning and/or noontime lectures. You will be
encouraged to take full advantage of these opportunities.
