Program Description
The field of cardiology and vascular medicine is dynamic. New diagnostic techniques, drugs and interventions are continuously being introduced. Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville offers a three-year Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship that offers excellent clinical teaching from experts in echocardiography, vascular disease, bedside medicine, electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization.

Accreditation
This training program fulfills the requirements for training as stated by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Graduate Medical Education.
Certification
You will be eligible to take the American Board of Internal Medicine’s cardiology subspecialty examination for certification upon successful completion of the fellowship. Optionally, you may also take the examination for certification in echocardiography.
Program History
The Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship began in 2008. It is anticipated that two fellows will complete training in the program annually.
