Program Description
The Advanced Nuclear Cardiology Fellowship will provide and opportunity for fellows to develop proficiency in exercise testing and understanding of different radionuclide tests as it applies to Cardiovascular Disease.

  • The fellow will be able to understand the indications for supervision of and the limitations of supine and upright exercise testing as well as pharmacologic stress.
  • Assessment of radionuclide angiography at rest and exercise will be obtained
  • Understanding the indications for limitations of thallium and sestamibi stress testing (both exercise and pharmacologic provocation) and to gain understanding of image interpretation and the modes of display of those images will be utilized

Accreditation
The training program fulfills the requirements for nuclear cardiology subspecialty training as stated by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Graduate Medical Education.

Certification
When you complete this training, you will be eligible for the American Board of Internal Medicine subspecialty examination in nuclear cardiology.

Program History
The Cardiology, Nuclear Fellowship began in 1995, and since that time, more than 7 physicians have completed training. It is anticipated that one or two fellows will complete training in this program annu
