Clinical Training

You will be responsible for performing and interpreting electrophysiological studies with the responsible consultant. Regular teaching sessions will be given by staff consultants.

A typical schedule in the Electrophysiology Fellowship Program includes:

  • Two to three days per week, you will train in procedures in the Electrophysiology Laboratory. You are expected to perform an examination on each patient coming to the laboratory, interpret the results of the procedure, and enter these results into an electronic database.
  • Two to three days per week, you are expected to pursue clinical research in the area of electrophysiology.

Didactic Training
Clinical conferences, seminars, small discussion groups, journal clubs and one-on-one instruction are integral parts of this fellowship.

Research Training
You are required to conduct some type of scholarly activity during your fellowship.

Call Frequency
Call is not required 

Evaluation
To ensure that you acquire adequate knowledge and develop your technical skills, your performance will be monitored carefully during your program training. You will be evaluated formally by your supervising faculty member and will meet with the program director to review these evaluations. In addition, you will regularly evaluate the faculty to ensure that your educational needs are being met.
