Living in Rochester"Money" magazine and other groups have consistently ranked Rochester as among the best places to live in the United States - and for good reason.
With an estimated population of 125,000, the Rochester area offers the best of urban cultural amenities and small-town sense of connected community. In Rochester, you’ll find a diverse offering of music, art and theatre in a small-town setting known for its high civic involvement, pride of place, excellent public schools and easy access to nature and outdoor recreation.

The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are just 80 miles north of Rochester. Among the many attractions are the nationally recognized Guthrie Theater, Minnesota Orchestra, Walker Art Center, Science Museum of Minnesota, Minnesota History Center and Mall of America. Both Big 10 and professional baseball, basketball, football and hockey teams are based in the Twin Cities. Chicago is just 350 miles, or a 45-minute air flight, from Rochester.
