Scholarship and authorship are encouraged at Mayo Clinic. The Section of Publications is available to assist in editing and preparing medical and scientific manuscripts. All Mayo medical students are required to write a scientific paper as part of their graduation requirements, and most students publish their work.
Mayo Clinic Proceedings
Mayo Clinic Proceedings is a monthly publication of Mayo Clinic. This journal, which began in 1926 as a record of papers presented at meetings of the Mayo staff, has a worldwide readership of more than 130,000. Complimentary subscriptions to Mayo Medical School students are available and authorship is encouraged.
Mayo Alumni
Mayo Alumni is a quarterly publication of Mayo Clinic. The publication is sent to Mayo residents and fellows and graduates of Mayo Medical School and Mayo Graduate School. Mayo Alumni serves as a conduit of communication providing a lifelong connection between Mayo and its alumni.
