More than 900 biomedical scientists and physicians are engaged in ongoing research throughout Mayo Clinic. As members of Mayo's basic science and clinical departments, they conduct research and/or maintain a clinical practice in addition to teaching. This means you'll learn from people who are active practitioners in your field of study - and who understand the challenges you'll face. As a Mayo Graduate School student you'll have ready access to these individuals as well as hundreds of additional physicians and other medical professionals. Many are leaders in their fields. Approximately 1,100 residents and 300 research fellows also are part of Mayo's academic community.
