Admission requirements for the Ph.D. Program include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, a strong background in the basic sciences, and prior research experience.

Graduate Record Examination
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test is required and scores should reflect strong academic ability. Use School Code 6444 and Department Code 0299 Other. For test results to be received by the Dec. 1 application deadline, please complete the GRE test by Oct. 15.
Foreign applicants must submit their scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Use School Code 6444 and Department Code 30 Other.
Applications are accepted Sept. 1 through Dec. 1 for the following academic year.
A complete application includes:
- A personal statement
- Official transcripts of courses from each college or university attended
- At least three letters of recommendation (including letters from research mentors)
- Your latest GRE report
The application fee is $50. The most qualified applicants are invited to interview. Applications received after the deadline may be considered on a space-available basis.
