Admission requirements for the Ph.D. Program include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, a strong background in the basic sciences and prior research experience.

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE - School Code 6444 - Department Code - 0299 Other)

General Test is required and scores should reflect strong academic ability. For test results to be received by the December 1 application deadline, please complete the GRE test by October 15.

Foreign applicants must submit their scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL - School Code 6444 - Department Code 30 Other).

Applications are accepted August 1 through December 1 for the following academic year.

A complete application includes:

  • A personal statement
  • Official transcripts of courses from each college or university attended
  • At least three letters of recommendation (including letters from research mentors)
  • Your latest GRE report

The application fee is $50. The most qualified applicants are invited to interview. Applications received after the deadline may be considered on a space-available basis.
